If you go into your design wizard, then widgets you see a skeleton of your blog.
Click add widget in the header section and select the HTML/Javascript widget.
When that's in place you can put text and HTML straight into it just like a post and it sits under your header... if you look at my main blog it's how I put the extra text and the bloscars buttons in my header

You can't do it on your layout, avenscent...only down the side...if you had a central header image, you can put things directly underneath...GBHs...XXX

Oh, I've just realized you do have a header image...so sorry, avenscent...do you have the rainforest.jpg in your media? You need that to get it to appear under your header and linked to the site...you have to click on 'blog this' underneath it...and then when the blog this window opens, click on size...medium...then go down the last line that says post image with this link, and copy the link address into the box underneath...then click on your blog name and then Blog this at the bottom...a code will come up and copy it and then go to your blog editor...click on widget and add widget under your header...click on the spanner and then paste the code into it and click on save...that should bring it up underneath your header image and the link will work...don't forget to Save and Quit when you've finished...

copy the code and then go into your blog editor...click on widgets...you will see where you can add a widget under your header image...click 'add widget'...go to more widgets and scan down until you get to HTML widget and click on 'add widget' again and it will open up a window...paste your code in there and click on Save and close it...you will see now that under your header image there is a widget with the code in it...Click on Preview...to see whether the image is there and then close the Preview page and click on Save and Quit...go to your blog and click on the new sign and it should take you to the rainforest site...

Good luck...GBHs...XXX -

Hi, avenscent...I've just posted instructions on what to do for widgets and it's disappeared...try again...
Copy your code...then go to your blog editor and click on Widgets...click on add Widgets more Here under your header image and it will take you to a list of widgets...scan down them until you get the HTML/javascript and click on add widget, you will find a new widget under your header image now...click on the spanner to open it and paste in the code...then click on Save and close it...check in Preview to see whether it has appeared and if it's there, close Preview window and click on Save and Quit...then got to your blog and click on the sign and it should take you to the rainforest site...
Good luck...

If you haven't got a jpg image for the rainforest, you're welcome to copy mine, paste into 'my documents' in your comp and then upload to your media...
I called it Habitat.jpg... GBHs...XXX -

Don't think you can for a specific post.
Would it be easier to make an HTML widget to go under your header image?
