Unless you ask someone to call in dead for you. Not that I've thought about it or anything...
I used to be really scared of death, but now I just think I want to go in the least amount of pain possible, and I try to live my life to the fullest so I don't regret dying without achieving what I wanted. That sounds retarded. You know what I mean! xx

It is one of life's certainties...and should probably be avoided for as long as possible.

I aren't so much scared of dying myself, I am scared of others dying. So much so that I can get really worked up about it - it's quite irrational really as I know it HAS to happen...
It's just that awful emptiness that you feel in the pit of your stomach knowing you will never see that person again, the actual ache in your heart that won't go away and the generally sick feeling that your life has just changed forever and you don't know HOW you are going to get through it....
THAT is what scares me about death.
(Oh god - I didn't realise that was going to sound so deep - sorry!)

Thankfully it's not something I often have to view evidence of , except when my cat brings in a dead bird or mouse .
Or , come to think of it , when I cook and eat meat or fish .
Have I ever seen a dead human ?
Maybe , I'm not sure , though as I believe we all have a soul which goes to another dimension when we die , I'm not really one for talking to gravestones .
Being prone to some degree or melancholic temperament I think of death not infrequently , and am not afraid of dying , unless it entails leaving behind any other humans , or animal friends , who depend on me .
May I enquire as to what prompted you to ask the question ?
Best Wishes , Martin . -

Hi Arti!
Death - No problem!
It’s dying that scares me!
Might one ask your views on this?

As long as it's not a long drawn out painful thing for my family to watch then i'm cool with it. I have my funeral tunes sorted which my family know about, after the death of a close relative i now pay x amount each month to cover the costs so my child is'nt burdened with the responsibility

It happens.
It will, at some point, happen to me.
Sometimes I quite look forward to it, other times I never want it to happen.
Basically, if we're talking about me dying, any time will do. Just make it quick and painless.
If we're talking about friends, relatives or even someone who has touched our lives in any way, then it's not necessarily their death that worries me. It's more the gaping hole that their departure will leave in my life. The fact that I'll never see them again, never share the joys and sorrows of life with them - that's the part of it that hurts. -

Hi, It's interesting to know why a young person like you posed such a topic for discussion. However, I'd like to share my viewpoint. Personally, I have learned from my late beloved mother that one should not have fear of death as long as one has led a life of purpose and enjoyed it along the journey. Do all the things one desire, eat all the food one loves, help all that need our help and respect all that have life. Love and have faith in the Almighty and His creations, and of course, ourselves as well. Then, we would have truly lived and death is nothing to worry about. Cheers! Sam (SuccessDynamics.blog.co.uk)
