If you met Prince Charles , would you follow the protocol of bowing your head , addressing him once as 'your royal highness' , then as Sir thereafter ?

Well, it is just manners, isn't it. I would expect him to call me Mrs XYZ though and if he started calling my by my first name, I would return the favour.

I met his ex mrs once, it was a long time ago but before she came in the room we were told how to behave and how to address her. When she came in she told us to call her Diana.Would'nt say it was an amazing experience but i'll never forget it or the conversation she had with us.

Best Wishes ,

I would. Although I think he's not as stuffy as people often make him out to be, though I wouldn't go as far as to call him "Charlie-boy".

I thought the correct etiquette was
Oh Grandad what big ears you've got. -
- 2009-07-09 @ 22:36:19
not very likely no, certainly I would afford him the same courtesy extended to myself. Though he may be deemed royal, respect is earned not a right and since it is unlikey I shall ever be placed before kings, I can truthfully say, that I stand on ceremony for no man.

No, no and thrice no.

Me too : I'd be polite , and reasonably respectful but I would'nt treat him as some sort of deity , which he definitely is not !

I'd just address him as I do all older men - 'hello Sir'.
Then probably go and say something really stupid, as is my wont... hopefully not about his ears! -

I have been up fairly close to him in London but probably wasn't not allowed to speak to him as us normal folk was divided by a barrier from him and VIP guests at a function once. http://life-of-a-bbc.blog.co.uk/2009/06/30/sweet-little-lie-answer-6424122/
But I would probably do the latter, trying to be ever so polite

i probably would just walk past him in my daze and realize it 6 months later...

I don't think he answers to "Chuck".

Poor old Charles: darned if he does - darned if he doesn't.
In Bermuda, 1968, Prince Charles paid an official visit.
During his tour of the lighthouse, I took an alternate back road and waited for his entourage to come by.
This road was completely deserted.
Those were the days of miniskirts and I was young.
I poised myself on the tiny motor-bike and waved at him as he went by.
The limousine slowed down and Charles and I smiled, waved and had a good look at each other!
Now, that was a lot of fun!-

You could have become Britain's future Queen , dear Charlotte !
I'm sure that HRH enjoyed the view of you !

I would not bother to do any of it i think the roylas are overrated they dont ever do anything and they get all the priase in the world it just an out dated tradition that i think this country could do with out there are more important people on the world that do good with there time and not just so round in fancy cars and live on maison. so to answer the question i would never like to meet him and if i did i would just ignore him because to me he is not worth worry over weather or not he is happy with th eway i addressed him i have bigger problems in life.

No. I was taught to respect others but bow to no-one. He is my equal and not the other way around.

probably, but it is unlikly to happen actually, so will not put it to the test
