My iron is burnt.
We've only had it 7 months as well - what is the best way to clean it up?
Got some baking soda in the cupboard! Might give that a try thanks!!
I just bought an 'iron sleeve' for a couple of quid to put over the bottom of the iron when using it as mine sticks x
Never heard of it before but am noting it down
try 'bar keepers friend' - its magic white powder. i use it to keep the glass on the woodburner clear. should work!
I'd like to be a bar keepers friend! LOL....sorry.....have noted this one down as I've not heard of it before. I guess you can get this in any supermarket?
xx
WD40! Trust me.. It really will get it off.. Just make sure you iron it over an old towel first to make sure all the oils off x
Is that a bit like WKD?
Sorry, in a funny mood today.
This has been duly noted with the others and I shall look out for some when I am shopping tomorrow.
xxx
Probably tastes the same
Really dors work though.. I tried everything to no avail till someone mentioned WD40.. Shifted it straight off!! x
I found that baking powder or Bar Keepers friend both work well
That's 2 for 2 - I may as well try the baking powder first seeing as I have it. Thank you for your help!
use a nylon scouter with the baking soda
My friend Nick says that nobody needs an iron for anything so you can safely throw it away now but he might be lying.
I think your friend Nick doesn't like ironing!
what's that
what's that?
put it in vinegar

Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)in hot water works well on pans so I suppose it should work on irons!
