Today on the blog we have seen for the first time the real face behind the name,
Has this shattered any dreams?
Should we use our own faces?
I'll leave this one up for at least a week!
i was surprised and delighted that so many people took part, and made me feel a lot less anxious about doing it on my own.
i think it helped give blogland more of a feeling of community, in some way.
for my part, i think i'll keep the picture up and stop hiding!
As most of my friends have posted pictures of themselves before, I kind of knew what to expect from them.
Of the ones that haven't, none has shattered any expectation. Surprised me, maybe, but I feel better knowing there's a real person behind the words. It's been quite a revelation.
no, yes
i'm not sure i'll leave my piccy up for ever, but it's certainly interesting to see people for real, nobody is a bit like I imagined, but i guess that's why its harder to make friends in life coz you go by appearance rather than what you have in common. Sad innit!
Certainly glad this was thought up though, thank you whoever came up with the scheme!

I did know quite a few of the faces already but it was an enjoyable thing to do, and I don't know whether I'm leaving mine up because I've very, very attached to Scrat...HLOL...GBHs...XXX
You know, Trevor, the kazoo is a vastly underrated musical instrument!
And that was below the belt!!! ![]()

Well it's under somewhere Zneth.
I thought about it and just realized I didnt but mine on there so it will be soon
Well apart from one friend doing a runner!!!!! ![]()
Now duly returned to the fold! ![]()
I think everybody should put themselves up there whats to hide its a nice honist approach i like it,i loved seeing all the faces i hadnt seen before.
Huh. First time I've looked at my face in years.
Not sure I've missed much!
I only put mine up for a bit.. I cherish anonymity... but it's been nice to see what other people look like it's true!!
Although I didn't participate in it (I'm one of those who really MUSTN'T show their face), I thought it was quite nice to see what people really look like.
Nevertheless, I think one has to be very careful with giving away too much of the real identity - too much cybercrime on the web!
