who wants to pack her bags, run far away, confine herself in a lil' hut somewhere in the mountains away from civilization and just hide? :O
why has it come to such a point where emotional escape is not enough? its just the way we think i suppose that makes physical escape so appealing...hmmm...anyone?

Pro No it is a comforting feeling to believe you can remove yourself to somewhere safe when life seems difficult.
The problems only start when you actually do it!

I don't think that we can run away from our problems, OK, it's a temporary solution but the problem will still remain 'til you return. Even running away does not allow that problem to leave your mind.

lolz yep..you have a point but what if you want to get away from mankind, all the atrocious things they do that horrify you and chill your blood? in that case running away is such a nice proposition! just me and mother nature...a place where i can focus on my poetry and writing without hindrance from the blocks on concrete that seem to touch the very sky...
perhaps its the yearning for new inspiration that set me going on about wanting to run away (again) (and i did it once too..disastrous try! and that is what i guess foxhat meant..

Yes. Running away may be trying to escape from who you are and what you fear. If it is it won't work. It certainly left me in a far worse position.
Taking yourself away for a while to write/think/contemplate but coming back with belief that you can deal with things better and/or confront your fears, even if this means wholesale change, may be worth considering.
Sometimes I feel responsible for everything going on in my enviroment. If you are in that position it may be time for a reality check! You may end up laughing!

hehe i feel hopeless rather that i was born with little or no care about Earth and am now struggling to understand it while it gets steadily destroyed...aah well...
thats the only kind of escape i could get i guess, unless i managed to somehow create a larger than life Dionysus...hmmm...any ideas as to how i could do that?

Surely the earth will still be around until it crashes into something. It has always changed. There is a good argument for saying that our actions are foolish because they may bring about our own self destruction (and much of other life) but the earth will go on with or without us. Where I stand at the moment was once on the equator!

hmmm true enough..perhaps in my own unconsciously selfish human way i was mourning about how we wouldnt be able to cope with our unrelenting rampage of destruction...but still..nothing can justify the rape of earth even if she will continue to live on. such beauty and sheer excellence should not be tampered with..ever!
and we are learning that a little too late...aah well...
as for Dionysus, i shall bring him back to life! check out my blog to understand better..
