There is such a thing as leather soap? Cool.

Indeed there is...

It a bit like a less greasy version of dubbin, but it does clean hide.

Aye ... saddle soap. I'm sure you'd get something from John Lewis type shops though.

I have cream leather sofas and the children are always getting biro on them - I always use bleach in warm water it works a treat and doesn't spoil the leather. Even when I had black leathers I used to clean them with it to, people worry to much about it ruining the leather but trust me it works.

biro in back pocket of jeans - the usual. Still, I suspect it may come out better than if it was a fabric seat!

I can't stand the smell of vinegar either...makes me gag...horrible smell...used to have it on my chips now I can't tolerate it without windows open wide if it's around...Ray used to clean our windows with it and it was hold your breath time for me...now the window cleaner does ours and he uses good old soap and water...LOL...sorry about your car seat...bummer...literally by the sound of it...
Wouldn't dare suggest anything in case it made it worse...GBHs XXX -

White wine?
Oh, no. That's for getting red wine out of carpets!

Soap and water?

Actually, leather soap would probably be better.
