First check your own behaviour. Bullying need not be physical.
Guide them do not direct them ..let them chose their own careers
friends and clothes. Then take your own advice Parent

These may be of some guidance,

A child may indicate by signs or behaviour that he or she is being bullied. Children may,

Be unwilling to go to school or frightened of walking to or from school.
Begin doing poorly in their school work.
Come home hungry because their dinner money was taken.
Become withdrawn, start stammering, stop eating or distressed.
Attempt suicide.
Have nightmares.
Have unexplained bruises , cuts or scratches.
Ask for or begin stealing money to pay the bully.

If it's like it was for me check them physically, check them in terms of changed behaviour, check how often you see them laugh.
