  • Is Life Conceptual?

is life our own imagination of what life is?
are we creating everything around us in our own minds?
can you prove to me that this is all real?

  • What Happens to the Bus?

Every day, every night, buses are running around cities. They can be tools to carry you to work, or killer to send you to hell.
First, I want to say something about the drivers. They are really rude. That day, I just wanted to ask how to get to the place where my friend lived. He shouted at me:" What the hell are you doing? If you don't want to get on, get the hell out of my bus!" I felt so humiliated in front of all the passengers. Am I wrong to ask?
Second, the bus is like a can, and we are all sardines. It is so crowded in the bus that I am afraid of taking it. People have no personal space any more. And you should feel lucky to have room to stand on the bus. All smells are full of the air, I just want to vomit.
Third, bus is a heaven for thief. A crowded place is very convenient for a thief. Most of my friends have experienced thieves on the bus. Handbags were robbed; wallets would disappear! One of my friend lost a replica Chanel handbag and she called the police, but got nothing at last!
I just don't want the bus to become a Hell. Because so far. I just can afford to take bus to work

  • Scotland's Shame ?

On Victoria Darbishire's Radio5live programme this morning , live from Edinburgh , when she pointed out to her Scottish studio guests that in a few parts of Scotland average life-expectancy for men is only 54 they did'nt seem to want to talk about it .

My question is : Why is male life expectancy so low in those areas , and what can or should be done to begin to increase it  ?

( Extreme apologies for my apostrophising of did'nt instead of didn't . I've no doubt severely upset a few of you . )

  • Royally pissed off

Here is the background. More than 3 years ago I had a mobile phone from 3G, 2 months into the contract it was stolen in New York. Hubby rang them and cancelled the phone and I never asked for or got another one to replace it. The phone was never used after this date. I paid as per my contract every month for the remaining 10 months of the year i had signed up for. Then I wrote cancelling the contract on the non-existent phone.

About 6 months later they passed my debt of £63 - which they said was 2 months contract and a fee onto debt collectors. I rang them and explained that if they wanted to take me to court they should do so, as there wasn't a court in the land that would think it equitable of the phone company to charge me for a contract which had not been in use for so long. Nor would they think it reasonable for the phone company to assume I would renew a contract for line rental when i had neither phone nor sim. They agreed and said they would pass it back to 3G.

This morning I get a letter (sent to my brother in laws address in the North) from another debt collector demanding the £63! I was livid, so I phoned them and was told in no uncertain terms that if I don't pay they will take legal action - I told them to go ahead, and they said at best I would have a default against my name.

    My question is this
Should I pay the bloody money just to get them off my back even though I think it is grossly unfair? Would you??

  • life and death

We have gone to Tai Chi classes for more than ten years. Within our group was an elderly lady, very graceful, tall, with hair fastened back into a bun. Walked like a Ballerina. She was a joy to watch, she has been missing for most of the term, we were told today on our last day of the class year, she is dying of Cancer, by the time our classes recommences in September she will have died.

We never conversed with her very much, there isn't time. We go to the Class, do our Tai Chi, go home, so the next Class can start. We know nothing of her personal life or circumstanes, and yet because of shared experience, and close observation, we knew everything about her.

What caused her Cancer? Passive Smoking, she never smoked, but worked in a situation where others did.

Do I have question? Why should someone beautiful be a victim to something so horrible?

Does any ones smoke have the right to kill others? They may have the right to kill themselves. but they don't have the right to take other peoples lives.
